Customer Reviews

I love this product because it is incredibly well priced and works perfectly for cooking. It is beautiful, easy to clean and very safe since it does not heat. You may end up spending more on electric energy but it is worth.

So far I am a lot more impressed with this range and cooker than I thought that I was going to be. It performs very well and it is also cheap enough to buy several of them at a time.

I was able to build a shelf around them that allowed them to drop down and be hidden while I could use at a station and keep the food hot at a venue that could not use an open flame.

We needed this product while one of our larger inductions was mailed off to be fixed... it did the job! Not quite as efficient as our more expensive device - but way better than I expected given the price! Be sure to purchase the appropriate adapter for use!

Just picked this up to play with and see how it works. Avantco support will not tell me what the actual coil size is in this unit which seems a bit silly. Boiled two cups of water in around 1 minute 40 at 1800 watts. As compared to 4 minutes 20 seconds on glass stove top.

The unit I received SEEMS TO HAVE THE TEMP AND POWER LEVEL LED INDICATORS REVERSED based on the display selections available and the actual function of the unit. This cannot be normal? Is this a warranty claim WEBstaurantStore? The actually heated area seems to be about 6” in diameter and therefore counting on the cookware’s thermal conductivity to even out the heat. My high quality 10 ¼ pan seem to work per the specifications. The lower “Temps” and “PWR levels seem to be derived by cycling the induction on and off about a 7 second time interval. Here the designers are counting on the cookware’s thermal mass to even out the temperature variation. Based on an infrared and an immersion thermometer I’d have to say temperature control is not “precise” as claimed. I’ll give it an approximate estimate of what the final temperature will be. 140 Degrees setting yields closer to 180 Degrees for example. Better that guessing what it will be at 1200W for example. I also think some lower temperatures (or more accurate) and power settings would be useful. Per the downloaded manual: “When cooking time is finished, this will be indicated by several acoustic signals, and the unit will switch off automatically.” My unit sounds a single beep alarm and the timer LED goes off BUT THE UNIT DOES NOT. Per the manual: “After cooking or warming process is finished, always switch the device off and unplug.” This is not very practical when the unit is installed dropped into a counter. BTW after the unit is turned off the cooling fan does eventually shut off. But it still probably represents a good value for the price ignoring the 1st point.
