Featuring recessed handles for easy handling and a reversible design, this cutting board is a sturdy and dependable workhorse in the kitchen. It can withstand the heaviest of knives during slicing and chopping without dulling the blades, as well as serving as a solid base for mounting stand mixers or meat grinders. Expertly-crafted from natural rubberwood, the color and smooth finish of the cutting board enhances the appearance of front-of-the-house displays at buffets and banquets. Ideal for use at a carving station, the cutting board conveniently fits inside of a full size sheet pan. Excess juices and sauces from carving roasted meats are easily collected in the sheet pan preventing messes and maintaining a clean and presentable work surface. Unlike with plastic cutting boards, this wood cutting board has the capacity to inhibit bacteria growth. Plastic boards have a non-porous nature that results in the surface becoming knife-scarred over time, making it harder to clean bacteria out of grooves. However, this wood cutting board is finished with food grade oil during manufacturing to prevent the absorption of bacteria into the wood, increasing the longevity of your board.
