It is great for our buttercream! Imwe have a 20 qt mixer for 5years and this paddle and mixer is working very well. Yes we are very small operation around 100 weddings per year and the mixer works just 2 days a week. We do not make bread just cakes and buttercreams. Highly recommended for the cost benefits!

Purchased this in June. Used it maybe 4 times since it has arrived. Hand Washed with soap and warm water. Unfortunately like the other reviews, it fell apart. Used it to make cheesecakes and noticed black bits in the batter. Stopped the mixer and investigated and found it was breaking apart. Worked very nicely until it just decided to break apart. No signs of wear or damage when inserted on the last one, 5 minutes of mixing softened cream cheese and sour cream, it said it had enough.

The silicone blade performed well initially, delivering smooth operation, clean scraping, and excellent flexibility. Unfortunately, just like other reviewers have reported, the silicone edge tore after only a few months of regular use, rendering the blade useless. At nearly $ more than the standard non-silicone version—a 66% premium—I expected far better durability. For a tool designed specifically for commercial bakery use, this level of wear is disappointing and represents poor value.

Silicone ripped after a couple uses. Also makes a huge mess...Ingredients getting thrown out of the bowl. Had to purchase another without the silicone. Waste.
