Customer Reviews

I was a little bit skeptical about ordering this mixer with the mixed reviews it had, but I'm glad we went with it anyway. It mixes well and we haven't had a problem with it.

I should have gotten two of these. We had predominantly been using 8 oz. kitchen aids. We have been able to increase our efficiency and spend more time focusing on our business.

This Beast is a Great addition to our kitchen. She puts out a ton of bread batches. Can't wait to order replacement bowls and beaters.

Only reason not a four star rating was that the first one died on a few weeks. Customer service sent a replacement and it had been running nonstop since.

We started off with a regular mixer that just could not keep up with our baking. So i researched this mixer and it does the job great. If you are skeptical do not be, this has been running in our kitchen for a few years and we have not had any problems with it.

Bought this mixer 5 years ago. It is used weekly to make our sweet roll dough and frosting. Also large batches of cookie dough. Works like a champ every time.

I would have given this a 5 star but the bowl had a dent when it was delivered. I did not notice this until I actually used it and cleaned the bowl. Although, it did not take away from what the end results. I did a merengue and it was exceptionally done, it came out like cream. The noise level was very low! I love this machine, it is the perfect size, although it is heavy but it was worth the investment.

I upgraded my KA three times, and then purchased a Bosch for my cottage bakery. When I opened my commercial space, I bought the MX20 and should have purchased it to begin with. This mixer is a beast. I have no complaints whatsoever. The bowls is a great size. I have used it for cookie doughs, frostings, and bread doughs. It handles them all with ease. I would like to note that I was a little concerned on the weight when I ordered it. Definitely pay for the liftgate service if you do not have a forklift on site. It was heavy, but not too heavy that my Dad and I couldn't lift it to put it on the stand. I purchased the 24" stand, item #600MT2424G, which fits it nicely. It is a solid investment that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Happy with it so far! This is my first piece of really industrial equipment for my soap business (specifically, for making body whip in quantities greater than five pots at a time), and holy smokes! It's a workhorse, I knew it would be, but what surprised me was how *quiet* the motor is, compared to my little KitchenAid. I love that there are only three speeds: whisk, hook, and paddle - no question for what to use and when to use it. I adore all the manual bits and bobs, the hooks to secure the bowl, the wheel to raise and lower the bowl, the lever to adjust settings, and the green for go, red for stop buttons. It gives me an increased sense of being in control of the machine when I have to interface with it. I like the emergency cutoff that seems to be present: if the front grille isn't closed, or gets moved, the mixer auto-stops and won't continue until the grille is properly seated. I made my first large batches of body butter with it just this last week, and the results for the second batch were exquisite. I have high hopes for what this will do for efficiency and consistency between batches. The one thing I will say is that the whisk still throws filaments of the contents around. It's great when the back shield catches it, but the stuff goes right through the grille on the front. It's less of an issue than it is with my small mixer, so I consider it the nature of the product, and don't dock points from the mixer for it. If you're using this like I am, you might consider having a pouring pitcher which you fill from the steel bowl; I found it messy and difficult to transfer product from the steel bowl to the pots. It was much easier and neater filling the pouring pitcher, then filling the pots from the pitcher. I will say this is is an *extremely* heavy piece of equipment; it's way bigger than I thought it would be (that's on me, and I'm not complaining). I had to get it up a flight of stairs to put it where I needed it; if I hadn't had a hand truck/dolly (with securing straps!) to put it on, one that was rated for several hundred pounds, I was never getting it where it needed to be. Using the hand truck was not part of my original plan to get this thing from the garage to my workstation. Moving this behemoth is a two-person job at least (even with the hand truck), and awkward because all the weight is in the head of the machine, so consider the logistics involved with how you're going to move it to it's final destination before you actually get one. You don't want to be sitting there with it wondering "Well, what do I do now?"

For a smaller mixer in a bakery, it works well. I have had it over a year now and it is a workhorse. It now makes a clicking sound but does not stall and still handles well. At the time I purchased it, the price was right.

This mixer has been great! It is sturdy and stands up to multiple donut mixes. The motor runs smoothly. Have not had any issues whatsoever with this mixer. Very dependable!!

good mixer. good price point. the bowl is a little deep so paddle and whisk don't catch the bottom inch of it. but for doughs, it's a beast. 5 years of doughs and it is still in good shape.

This is a great mixer that doesn’t break the bank. It’s high power and and can do everything that I am more expensive mixer can do. The high powered motor has no problem mixing those or large batches.

We bought this mixer after our last one died. We use it to mix our cookie dough for the bakery, and can do everything on setting #1. It's Extremely powerful. Also, pretty quiet if you ask me. Cons and the only reason why we give it a 4: Very sharp edges so you have to be very careful when wiping down. All of our staff cut ourselves very badly trying to clean and wipe it down. We also use the batter paddle, which is also very sharp. Not sure why this whole thing is one big knife. There is a lot of safety features on the mixer where it won't spin if it's not lifted, won't spin if the cage is not shut, and won't spin if the timer is at 0, but you'll bleed to death cleaning it. Suggestions: Would be nice if it had a pulse mode to prevent flour spillage, and the capability of mixing without the cage.

It’s nice looking - steel gray finish. Rubber bottoms on legs, easier to shift and move to clean. Very easy to navigate when you first get it. Grease started pooling out of the attachments and got everywhere - so be careful of that.
